The state of Florida provides most of the textbooks used in our school. The books are on loan to the students who are responsible for keeping them clean and free from abuse. If a book is lost or damaged, the student to whom it was issued is held responsible for payment. Beginning the week of May 6th Plantation Middle will be collecting textbooks. Listed below is the collection schedule. This schedule has been designed with three ideas in mind; not to interfere with students’ preparations for final exams, staggering collection dates so students do not need to bring in more than one book on any day and allowing enough time for teachers to complete inventory and post student obligations as needed.
Language Arts May 6-10th
Electives June 4th and 5th
Math May 22nd and 23rd
Social Studies May 20th and 21st

End of Course Exams
The state has passed legislation that may impact how End of Course (EOC) exams affect final grades and graduation options. Therefore, it is important that students put forth their very best effort on these exams.
On April 22, the Governor signed into law SB 1076 which provides multiple diploma options for students, effective July 1. This legislation will effect how the EOCs impact student grades and graduation status/options. However, how this new legislation will be implemented has yet to be communicated by FDOE.
Our students currently enrolled in Algebra will be taking their EOC on Monday, May 13th. Students currently enrolled in Geometry will be taking their EOC on Monday, May 20th.
